DAY 1                    IQUITOS / RIO AMAZONAS  (Viernes)

Transfer to the main port of Iquitos

While installed in your spacious room, ARIA AMAZON boat will begin the journey through the Itaya River, deep in the Amazon. Within days, you also will sail along the two largest tributaries of the Amazon River, the Ucayali and Marañon and the mighty Amazon itself. You will embark on a spectacular adventure to a place visited only by some of the most experienced world travelers.
Guidance on safety on board
Before dinner, we will meet on the upper deck to learn about safety on board. Then, cruise Director and naturalist guides will give you a brief orientation about life on board, talk about places to those who will go and what they will see during his tour of the welcome Amazonas.Cena.
Peruvian cuisine is considered one of the best in the world. Here it is presented with a European touch, pairing dishes with an excellent selection of South American wines. While enjoying these delicacies, watch the river and surroundings through our panoramic windows.
Before retiring to rest, we suggest you enjoy a cocktail on the upper deck under the stars.


DAY 2                    RIOS AMAZONAS / YACAPANA/ YARAPA / LAGO CLAVERO  (Sábado)

Scan the Yacapana Islands and the dolphin watching
Locals call the Islands Yacapana "the islands of the Iguana", by the large number of these reptiles resembling small dinosaurs that inhabit them. Amazonian beliefs say that if someone touches an iguana, the person will develop certain characteristics and, as no one wants to look like them, these animals are well protected.
We pass close to the Islands aboard the boats, giving you the opportunity to take good pictures of the flora and fauna that we can observe in our path.

Indulge yourself with our delicious daily breakfast, which presents a wide variety of dishes, in addition to Peruvian specialties and fresh fruit juices.
Scan the Yarapa River and fishing in the Lake Moringa
ExplEsta tomorrow you will board your comfortable boat to sail from the Amazon River and we enter the Yarapa River to explore it. Life jackets, ponchos and rubber boots, and fresh water are always available in our boats. As we sail through the Yarapa River, observe some fishermen paddling their canoes. Keep your binoculars ready to see a variety of wildlife: swallows, tropical songbirds, Blackbirds, collared black and sloth hawks, sharing this wonderful place with us. After our arrival at the Lake Moringa, you can make use of their instruments of fishing to try to catch any of the ferocious piranhas, as well as other fish species. While fishing, our naturalist guides will be told the history of the Lake and its inhabitants. Return to the AMAZON ARIA
Refreshing towels await you, while she moved back on Board of the ARIA AMAZON. While the ship continues its journey down the Amazon River, you will have free time to rest or take a NAP before lunch.

Boating and swimming in the Lake Clavero
On this occasion, we will have the opportunity to visit Lake Clavero and experience traditional management of the canoes, means of transport very common among people living on the banks of the Amazonian rivers with the inhabitants of the area and if you want you can swim in the calm waters of the Lake Clavero, a tributary of the Ucayali River.
Additionally if you could visit the community to interact with people and share experiences.
Before dinner, we recommend you to drink as an aperitif a "pisco sour" on the upper deck while watching the sunset.

DAY 3                    RIO UCAYALI / YANALLPA / EL DORADO / RESERVA NACIONAL  PACAYA SAMIRIA  (Domingo)

Expedition on the Ucayali River / Yanallpa
This morning we board the boats to explore this fascinating torrent of dark waters, part of the vast hydrography of the Amazon rainforest and part of the Pacaya Samiria national reserve. Your guides will talk you about jungle as explore what scientists call "the Gallery of the jungle", due to its dense vegetation, creating a tunnel of leaves. As we explore this type of riparian vegetation, you can easily see parrots, macaws, and furry Amazon Saki monkeys near the boats, best to take pictures you want.

Exploration of the Golden River and night tour
This afternoon, will take a magical journey through the "La Selva mirrors", noting huge trees reflected on the dark River, while we move to the Golden River will observe appear dozens of lovely parrots, macaws and a great variety of primates enjoying nature undeterred in our presence. While we make the journey back to our boat ARIA AMAZON, you will also have the opportunity to see alligators, frogs and bats.

DAY 4                    NACIMIENTO DEL AMAZONAS / VISITA COMUNIDAD RIBEREÑA  (Lunes)

Overview of the journey
Birth of the Amazon
This morning, the ARIA AMAZON will cross the boundaries of the vast national reserve of Pacaya Samiria, dense vegetation covering five million acres at the headwaters of the Amazon basin. Get up early to see one of the largest in the southern hemisphere: the sunrise on the birth of the Amazon River.
Here, in the union of the two largest tributaries, the Ucayali and Marañon, is formed the greatest waterfall in the world - nature at its best. Your morning excursion will be accompanied by abundant bird, as you stroll in our boats, going through banks of river towns by swallows long beak, laughing falcons, exotic short-tailed Parrot and dozens of other birds. Visit riparian community and walk
We will travel by boat to the typical village of the Peruvian Amazon, where can meet and interact with locals in this remote part of the world, as well as learn a little more about their culture, traditions and folklore. You will also have the opportunity of exchanging goods for local crafts. We will have the opportunity to hike on the trails that are found in the vicinity of the community, observing the flora and fauna of the area.

Unfortunately, it is time to pack. Please, before lunch, leave your luggage in your room ready to be picked up.

Landing / visit the manatees Center / Airport transfer
This afternoon, we will visit the rescue Center of Amazonian Fauna, a sort of animal orphanage where they receive Amazonian dolphins and manatees and provide specialized care to save them and to future reintegrating them in their natural habitat.
The guides will help you with the registration at the airport and will remain with you until you have boarded their flight back to Lima.
